In 1987-88 well known local businessman Jimmy Demetrious was acting as Club President whilst John King remained as Chairman. General Secretary was Alf Johnson whilst Steve Woodward worked as Football Secretary. First team manager was Derek Townshend who resigned midway through the season. Long serving player Colin Winter came in as Player/Manager.
