The original Waltham Abbey V Beckton United was played at Capershotts but abandoned after it all kicked off with the Abbey leading 1-0 on a Tuesday evening. As it was late in the season the game was never awarded or replayed.

In 1984-85 John King was Club Chairman and John May the Club Secretary. Treasurer at the time was Steve Woodward.  On the committee were Richard Kane and Barry Norton. Team manager was Derek Townshend. Chris Brooks won Player of the Year for the first team.
